Ingredients:
1 can of chickpeas
1/3 cup water (or more, depending on your desired thickness of hummus)
1-2 cloves of garlic
Juice of 1 lemon
½ tsp salt
½ tsp cumin, ground
1/2 cup tahini
1-2 tbsp vomFASS Extra Virgin Olive Oil of your choice
Directions:
Drain the chickpeas from the tin through a sieve and place in a blender.
Add the juice of one lemon, the garlic clove, cumin and ½ tsp salt to the blender and blend until smooth.
In the second step, add the tahini to the blender and blend for at least 3 minutes until the mixture is creamy and smooth. Slowly pour the water into the blender while it is running to get desired thickness.
Serve hummus in a shallow bowl, with toasted pine nuts, a pinch of chilli flakes, and a heavy drizzle of your favorite vomFASS Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Try it with Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, or Curry Oil for that extra flavor boost!
