I love easy make ahead appetizers and this is a favorite with my family. If there are any leftovers (and a big IF) we make meatball subs! Easy to double or triple.
Meatball Ingredients (makes 40 meatballs)
- ½ pound ground pork
- ½ pound ground chuck
- 1 1/2 TBLS vomFASS Sweet and Spicy Mix
- ½ cup minced onion
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vomFASS Smoked Sea Salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground Pepper
Meatball Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.2. Combine all meatball ingredients in a large bowl and mix until well combined.
3. Form 1 inch meatballs and place on cookie sheet
4. Place pan in oven and cook meatballs 8 – 10 minutes until desired doneness, turning once.
Sauce Ingredients
- ¼ cup vomFASS Red Pepper Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- ¼ cup vomFASS Apple Balsam Vinegar
- ¼ cup Chili Sauce
- ¼ cup cranberry Sauce
Sauce Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a pan large enough to fit the meatballs and heat. I use a crockpot.
2. Add the meatballs and warm through
Recipe notes: Easy to scale up by doubling or tripling the ingredients. You can make the meatballs up 1-2 days ahead of time and then make sauce in crockpot and add meatballs and warm through.
