Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy

I combined 2 of our favorites—Our Italian seasoning blend and our aged Balsamic Aceto Balsamico Maletti for this wonderful fall favorite. The mushroom gravy is packed with flavor and perfect when paired with your favorite potatoes and veggies.

Ingredients for the Salisbury Patties:
• 1 pound lean ground beef
• 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
• 1 TBLS minced garlic (more if desired)
• 1/3 cup panko bread crumbs
• 1 TBLS vomFASS Italian Seasonings
• 1 ½ TBLS vomFASS Aceto Balsamico Maletti
• 1 large egg, beaten
• 1 1/2 TBLS Ketchup
• 2 tsp. Dijon Mustard
• 2 tsp. Milk
• 2 tsp. mayonnaise (optional, but will help patties keep their shape)
• 1 tsp. vomFASS Danish Smoked Sea Salt
• ½ tsp. pepper
• 1 TBLS vomFASS Herb Garlic Infused Sunflower Oil (for cooking patties)

Ingredients for the Gravy:
• 1 TBLS vomFASS Herb Garlic Infused Sunflower Oil
• 2/3 cup finely chopped onion
• 8 oz. sliced baby Bella mushrooms
• 1 TBLS minced garlic (more if desired)
• 2 TBLS flour
• 1 ½ cup beef broth
• ½ cup water
• 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
• 2 tsp. Ketchup
• 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
• Salt and pepper to taste

1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients for the patties, except oil. Mix well until all ingredients are well incorporated. Form into 4 oval patties of even thickness.
2. Heat 1 TBLS of the herb garlic oil in a large skillet. Add patties and cook until golden brown on both sides and patties are cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
