INGREDIENTS for the Beef
300g sliced beef, use your favorite cut
200g jasmine rice
1 cup broccoli florets
1 tsp minced ginger
1 chili pepper, chopped, optional
2 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp sugar, brown (or sweetener alternative)
1-2 tsp cornstarch, add more or less based on how thick you like your sauce
1 tsp sesame seeds
soy sauce to taste
2 tbs hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons vomfass ginger sesame oil
1 pinch of fresh ground pepper
50ml water
1 pinch of salt
First step: cook jasmine rice according to package instructions.
Next step: grab a sheet pan, line it with parchment paper and put your broccoli and other veggies you like, on the sheet pan. Drizzle with vomFASS Extra Virgin Olive Oil, add garlic if you like. Salt and pepper to taste, and cook till done.
Now the fun step:
Slice your beef and warm up a pan on medium heat. Once the pan is hot, add a little oil and your minced ginger. Add your Sliced beef next, and minced garlic. Fry the meat for about 2 minutes. Deglaze the pan with the soy sauce (measure about 2 tablespoons, but we measured with our heart) and add hoisin sauce. Stir to make sure the beef is evenly coated.
in a bowl, quickly make a cornstarch slurry, with water. Add slurry to the pan, stir till meat is cooked and corn starch thickens to make a sauce.
Turn off the heat. Taste the meat and season with a little salt and pepper if desired. Add a drizzle of vomFASS Ginger Sesame Oil and mix it in to finish.
In containers / bowls, arrange rice, then veggies, and a serving of beef. Garnish with extra sesame seeds, and done!
