Barbados Rum

This rum comes from a modern distillery, located on the site of a historic plantation that dates back to the early 1600s. The juxtaposition of old and new if evident when comparing the state of the art distilling facility with the surrounding fields of the traditional sugarcane that are used to produce this fine spirit. Aged 8 years in a port barrel, strong overtones of vanilla and sweet port wine give way to subtle notes of toasted almonds, black pepper, and caramelized sugar.
